Generally speaking, I am not a fan of Valentine's Day. Sure, I'm a fan of love, but Valentine's Day seems to cause more hurt than anything else. Those that are single feel, well, singled out, and those who have significant others always set such high expectations that no one single day can live up to. Girls compare gifts and guys feel pressure- just doesn't feel like a day of love to me.
However, there is one part of Valentine's Day I always loved-- my mom setting a special table with Valentine's dishes and usually a Valentine's donut for our breakfast. And since I have the best mom ever, she sent me this:
cute napkins, cup, utensils and plate for my Valentine's breakfast! Sure, I only had Eggo waffles, but it was my favorite part of Valentines continued!
Another good part of Valentines-- my talented sister making a beautiful cake:
She is so amazing! And what is not to love about love birds and hearts?
I also received Valentines from my roomies and a card (in the mail!) from my Dad. Dan is prohibited from Valentine's gifts (all the other Marines are jealous). And perhaps the best thing about Valentines Day- it was 70 degrees! Come on Spring!
